Strenghtening the ties between Friedrich Ebert Foundation and the Yaounde School of Citizenship and Politics
At the invitation of the Chairman of the Executive Board, the Yaoundé School of Citizenship and Politics was pleased to receive in its offices, on Wednesday, August 16, 2017, the Resident Representative of the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) in Cameroon, Mr. KRAMME-STERMOSE Friedrich. The latter was accompanied for the occasion by Mr. Gabriel NGWE, Program Officer at the FES.
During the working session following the visit of the School's offices, the Chairman of the ECPY Executive Board began by thanking, on behalf of the whole team of the School, the Foundation Friedrich Ebert for the support and the interest which it gives to the project of the Yaoundé School of Citizenship and Politics since 2014.
The Chairman concluded his remarks by wishing that reflections could be carried out in close collaboration with the FES in order for a formal partnership framework to be established between the two organizations.
In his turn, the Resident Representative said he was happy to come to the ECPY. He reassured the School of Support of the FES for all the activities of training of the youth with the republican values to assure a better replacement of the Cameroonian political class in the years to come. Concerning the formal working framework with the FES, while stressing that such a protocol would be of definite use to both organizations, the Representative believes that it would be important to focus this framework on concrete projects that would involve the two institutions in the design and implementation. It is therefore desirable that a framework for concertation be set up to operationalize this common will.
The working session ended with a family picture with the firm resolution of both parties to activate themselves in order to formalize the partnership framework in a short time.
